It&nbsp;is one of the ten commissions of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dev.iamas.org\">International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences<\/a>&nbsp;(IAMAS), which is in turn part of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iugg.org\">International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics<\/a>&nbsp;(IUGG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ICPM&nbsp;has&nbsp;<strong>three primary objectives<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To promote polar meteorology through the organisation of relevant symposia at appropriate meetings, including those of IUGG and IAMAS<\/li><li>To initiate, facilitate and coordinate research programmes in this field<\/li><li>To facilitate the publication of recent research.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The&nbsp;International Commission on Polar Meteorology (ICPM)&nbsp;is a focus for research into the meteorology and climatology of the&nbsp;Arctic and Antarctic.
